PURPOSE:To attain to conserve a space, by bringing a membrane module into communication with the bottom surface of a treatment tank and flowing waste water in the treatment tank to said module to perform filtering treatment. CONSTITUTION:Waste water is supplied to a treatment tank 10 from a pipe 12 and aerated along with polymer carriers 18 immobilizing bacteria in a treatment part 16. Aeration is performed by air blowing from the air nozzles 26 arranged below the membrane modules 22 provided to the bottom surface of the tank 10. Waste water is reacted with the bacteria immobilized carriers 18 to receive chemical, physical and biological treatments such as oxidation, adsorption and flocculation to lower BOD, SS and COD loads. Activated sludge generated from waste water passes the screen 20 to be accumulated to the stepped receiving part 34 of a hopper part 14. The bacteria immobilized carriers 18 have good sedimentation properties to be accumulated on the screen 20. |
