PURPOSE:To eliminate throw-in operation of a power source switch, by blocking supply of operating voltage upon interruption of operation for a predetermined time and resuming supply of operating voltage upon provision of an operation command. CONSTITUTION:A printer 200 is connected to a personal computer 299. Power is fed to respective sections in the printer through RSFF233 and a switching circuit 235. Upon supply of voltage from a power source 211 through a power source switch 213, RSFF233 is set by a triger output fed from a differentiating circuit 237, and power is fed from the switching circuit 235 based on an output from RSFF233. When no output is fed from the personal computer 299 for a predetermined time, a timer 221 counts out and RSFF233 is reset through an output port 223 so as to stop power supply. When an output is fed from the personal computer 299, RSFF233 is set through an OR gate 231 thus resuming power supply. |
