PURPOSE:To reduce the time to be converged finally, to freely set a training time and to set a short arithmetic word length by providing a pseudo echo signal generating means and using the sequential tap coefficient calculation system and the batch tap coefficient calculation system in common at the training so as to estimate the echo path characteristic. CONSTITUTION:The output means outputting a reception signal to an eacho path is provided with a transmission signal output means outputting an audible tone as a transmission signal, a pseudo echo signal generating means 6 estimating the echo path characteristic between the output means and the transmission signal output means so as to generate a pseudo echo signal, a subtraction means 7 subtracting the pseudo echo signal from the transmission signal and a training signal source generating a training signal, and the pseudo echo signal generating means 6 uses the sequential tap coefficient calculation system and the batch tap coefficient calculation system in common at the training to estimate the echo path characteristic. Thus, the training time is set freely and the arithmetic word length is set short and the time to be converged finally is reduced. |
