PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material which has a less fogging and the suitable color tone of an image base by applying a specified silver halide emulsion on a colored polyester supporting body contg. at least one kind of a specified coloring agent and at least one kind of a quaternary ammonium salt. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide emulsion having a peak and a trough in the particle size distribution of a silver halide particle is applied on the colored polyester supporting body contg. at least one kind of the coloring agent shown by formula I and at least one kind of the quaternary ammonium salt shown by formula II. In formula I, B-D are each hydroxy or nitro group, etc., R1 and R5 are each hydrogen or halogen atom, etc. In formula II, R6 and R9 are each alkyl or aralkyl group, etc., X is an anion, (n) is a number of electric charge of group X. When the particle size distribution of the silver halide emulsion has one trough, as the peaks of said distribution exist at both sides of the trough, the smoothness and the optional gamma value are endowed to a characteristic curve by the position and the height of each peak and the sensitivity endowed to each tops. Accordingly, the desensitization and the fading of a latent image are prevented, thereby obtaining the sensitization and the another effect of the titled material. |
