PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and durability of an electrophotographic sensitive body by incorporating a specified trisazo compound. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body contains as one of the trisazo type compounds represented by formula I in which each of X1-X3 is -O- or -NR; R is H atom. or lower alkyl group; (n) is 0 or 1; each of Z1-Z3 is a divalent group of formula II or III; and A is an optionally substituted heterocyclic divalent group having N in the ring or an optionally substituted aromatic hydrocarbon divalent group. A photosensitive layer is formed by incorporating this trisazo pigment in an electric charge generating layer or a charge transfer layer, and the electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by forming this photosensitive layer of a supporting body, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to the enhanced in sensitivity and also in durability because of small light fatigue. |
