PURPOSE:To make the amplitude and waveform of an amplifier output constant by controlling the gain of an amplifier on the basis of a difference output between the positive and negative peak values of an input signal. CONSTITUTION:The output of a transmission-side amplifier 9 is supplied to a variable gain amplifier 13 through a transmission line 11. The output of the amplifier 13 is supplied to a subtracting circuit 18 through a branching circuit 15, a peak detector 16 for a positive-side waveform, and a peak detector 17 for a negative-side waveform. The output of the circuit 18 controls the gain of the amplifier 13 through a DC amplifier 19. Therefore, the outputs of the detectors 16 and 17 are processed by subtracting processing, so the influence of DC wanderings is canceled. |
