PURPOSE: To prevent the sudden variation of the inclination of chair surface in the case of a user's shift of his/her weight on a chair by blocking the oscillation passage of a front part extended toward space under a curved lever, using a curved lever stopper. CONSTITUTION: Chair surface is formed out of a front chair part 12 and a rear chair part 14. Also, a curved lever is connected to the frame 11 of a chair in a freely oscillatable state via a shaft 26 horizontally laid along the lateral direction of a seat part. The front part 22 of the lever is thereby extended downward and a rear seat part 14 is supported on the rear part 24 of the lever. Furthermore, a spring 20 resiliently holds the curved lever at a basic position. A stopper 42 has one end positioned so as to block the oscillation passage of the front part 22 of the curved lever, and the other end is laid on the housing 49 of the chair, so as to be oscillatable. According to this construction, the inclination of chair surface does not change suddenly, regardless of a sitting person's shift of his/her weight and at the same time, the inclination is constrained. |
