<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the limit of installation space and to obtain an air cleaning function of an excellent dust collecting efficiency by making the length of a ventilation path of the windward side of a heat exchanger greater than the depth dimension, and providing dust collecting electrodes and discharge electrodes in the ventilation path. CONSTITUTION:Dust contained in air sucked up through a front side suction port 2b is ionized by discharge electrodes 4 to which is applied a negative DC high voltage, and is attracted to dust collecting electrodes 3 to which is applied a positive DC high voltage, thus air is cleaned. Upon this occasion, when a damper 5 blocks an upper surface suction port 2a (Feg. 1), and operation mainly for air cleaning is carried out. Further, when the damper 5 blocks the front surface side suction port side 2b, an operation mainly for displaying the function of an air conditioner. Further, since dust collecting electrodes 3 and discharge electrodes 4 constitute a ventilation path vertically flowing without depth, on the front side of the heat exchanger 7, the product does not have a large size, and there is no need to pay special consideration to the installation space, but the length of the ventilation path can be set amply long. Therefore, a good dust collecting effect can be obtained. Further, since the fan of the air conditioner can be used for air cleaning, it is advantageous in view of the manufacturing cost.</p> |
