MACHINE FOR INSERTING COMPONENTS WITH ORDER

PURPOSE: To replace/supply a defective component/a missing component efficiently without reversing a conveyor by providing a component insert means to insert components onto a printed circuit board and a sequencing means that supplies separate components to a receiving means in the insert order of them onto the printed circuit board. CONSTITUTION: A supply means 18 extracts components from a reel wound by a tape in a prescribed order and locates the components to clips 48 supported by a conveyor. The components pass through a collection means 20 to discriminate the quality. Components not in compliance with the specification are blown out from the conveyor by a fan 25 and a blank space is left in the component sequence. When the collation means discriminates any defective component in the component sequence, the machine is stopped to allow the operator to inspect a defect of the sequencing device. Then, components are supplied to a carrier belt 24 via a transfer station. The belt is used to carry the components to an insertion machine.
