PURPOSE:To improve the safety of the burner by storing a faulty state in memory means when it is determined that the temperature detected after the lapse of a predetermined time from the stop of combustion is higher than the preset temperature to make the combustion action for the succeeding time impossible. CONSTITUTION:When an operating switch 15 is turned off, a signal is emitted from an output circuit of a microcomputer 17 to turn off a heater 5, a solenoid pump 2 and to turn on a solenoid 9. Simultaneously, a CPU 17b begins to count a time based on a pulse generated by a clock generating circuit 17d to start a timer. Even if a time t1 passes from the combustion stop, when the temperature detected by a temperature sensor 6 does not fall to a temperature less than T1 and the CPU 17b judges that it is faulty, the fault of the temperature sensor 6 is stored in a memory 17c. When the operating switch 15 is turned on for resuming the combustion the CPU 17b checks if the fault of the temperature sensor 6 is stored in the memory 17c. If there is no fault in the memory 17c, the operation is shifted to a normal operation. In a case where the fault is stored, a signal from an output circuit 17e is controlled so as to make it impossible to conduct preheating and igniting operations. |
