The reaction of alpha -fluorocarboxamides of secondary amines which contain a total of at least 2 hetero atoms from the group O, S and N, with organometal compounds gives high yields of crystalline salts of semiaminals which can be hydrolysed to give the corresponding alpha -fluoroketones. alpha -Fluoroketones are valuable intermediates, for example for the preparation of fungicides. |
