PURPOSE: To improve quality with respect to use technique by using a layer contg. a binder and a photopolymerization initiator as the relief forming layer of a press plate which has a heat resistant, dimensionally stable substrate and a water-soluble ordispersible relief forming layer that is crosslinkable with photopolymerization. CONSTITUTION: This plate has a heat-resistant, dimensionally stable substrate and a water-soluble or-dispersible relief forming layer which is crosslinkable with photopolymerization and contains a hydrolyzed (polyvinyl alcohol)-(alkanoic acid) ester as a binder, an alkenecarbonylamino-N-methylene ether of a polyhydric alcohol as a photopolymerizable monomer and a photopolymerization initiator. At this time, the relief forming layer further contains as another binder, an alkenoate of a hydrolyzed (polyvinyl alcohol)-(alkanoic acid) ether, or the like and has a >=0.8mm thickness. Thus, the quality with respect to use technique can be improved. |
