Method for fitting a paper refuse sack in a stand whilst it is being filled and for removing the filled sack, in which the sack has inwardly directed side folds 1, and the sack is higher than the stand. The sack also has a lower fold 5 running parallel with the bottom. When the sack has been filled, it is lifted by the mouth, as a result of which the lower fold is straightened out and the contents of the sack drop down towards the bottom of the sack.
