PURPOSE:To improve recording and reproducing characteristics and corrosion resistance by forming an intermediate layer contg. Si, Al, O, and N and further 1 kind among Y, lanthanoid element and actinoid element at specified contents between a recording layer and substrate. CONSTITUTION:A protective layer 31 consisting of glass is formed on the substrate 2 consisting of a polycarbonate resin. The intermediate layer 4 which contains Si, Al, O, and N, further, contains 0.2-2at.% >=1 kinds among Y, lanthanoid element and actinoid element and is specified in the total of the content of Si and N to 20-90at.% is formed thereon. A magnetic layer 5, a protective layer 35, and an org. protective layer 6 are successively laminated thereon. The recording sensitivity, recording and reproducing characteristics such as carrier to noise ratio and servo signal, and corrosion resistance are improved by such constitution; further, the defect of degenerating warpage, pinholes, etc., is overcome. |
