A method of recording and erasing of information on an optical carrier consists in using an optical information carrier (1) with a sealed chamber (2), which has a working surface (3) with a recording medium (4) and an auxiliary surface (5), in introducing into the sealed chamber (2) an active chemical substance chemically affined with the material of the recording medium (4) and in forming or deleting at least one information unit by removing and/or applying a layer of the recording medium (4) by means of applying energy to the recording medium (4). The removing and applying of the layer of the recording medium (4) are effected by carrying out chemical reactions between the material of the recording medium (4) and the chemical substance chemically affined with the material of the recording medium. An optical memorization device for recording and erasing of information on an optical carrier comprises a radiation source influencing the optical information carrier (1) with the sealed chamber (3), which has a working surface (3) with the recording medium (4) and an auxiliary surface (5), these surfaces being in thermal contact with a heater (11). The sealed chamber (2) has the active chemical substance (6) chemically affined with the material of the recording medium (4). |
