PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of an accident before its occurrence by providing a human body detecting sensor in a suitable part of a car body and informing the driver of approach of the human body, when it approaches the car body. CONSTITUTION:A human body detecting sensor 4 is fixed by an adhesively mounting or other means to the upper surface of a housing 2 of a side mirror 3 mounted to a door of a car body 1. This human body detecting sensor 4 is formed by arranging detecting parts 5, 5, containing a lens or the like, toward the rear of the car body 1, and the sensor 4 is constituted such as catching by its each detecting part 5 the presence of infrared rays continually generated from the warm human body. And processing an output signal of each detecting part 5 by a control circuit, for instance, turning on and off a light emitting diode (LED), set up in a driver's seat, or sounding a buzzer, the presence of the human body around a vehicle is informed. |
