<p>PURPOSE:To collect a callus inducing cell capable of producing a saponin, by transplanting a callus cell induced from a tissue piece of a plant of the genus Bupleurum to a medium containing a plant growth regulator such as indoleacetic acid and cultivating. CONSTITUTION:A callus cell induced from a tissue piece of a plant of the genus Bupleurum is transplanted in a medium containing at least one plant growth regulator selected from indoleacetic acid, alpha-naphthaleneacetic acid and indolebutyric acid or at least one plant growth regulator such as indoleacetic acid, alpha-naphthaleneacetic acid and indolebutyric acid and at least one plant growth regulator selected from kinen, zeatin, dihydrozeatin, benzyladenine and isobenzyladenine and cultivated. A callus inducing cell is obtained from the culture mixture.</p> |
