<p>PURPOSE:To produce a culture bed suitable for producing a large amount of high-density animal cell, having polypeptide surface with a high specific surface area, by treating the surface of fibrous structure with a polypeptide solution, crosslinking and insolubilizing the surface. CONSTITUTION:A fibrous structure which shows a fixed shape by three- dimensional entanglement of thin fibers and contains fine void in the interior is subjected to surface treatment by using a solution of polypeptide such as collagen or gelatin preferably at pH about 2-8 to form a polypeptide coating film on fibers constituting the fibrous structure or to stretch a film of polypeptide between the fibers. Then the formed surface of polypeptide is crosslinked with a polypeptide crosslinking agent, ultraviolet rays and gamma rays and insolubilized.</p> |
