PURPOSE:To provide a flat battery possible to solder to the joint of any apparatus easily and certainly by furnishing a boss plated with electroconductivity at the eriphery of a positive pole and a negative pole terminal plate. CONSTITUTION:A negative terminal plate 2 of Ni and a positive terminal plate 1 of Al are made from a plate of 30-35mum thick. The positive one 1 is greater with the outer dia, dimensional difference approx. 0.6-1.0mm, and contraction is applied previously. Bosses 1a, 2a are furnished at the peripheries of the terminal plates, and at least the same sides of the bosses are soldered or Au plated. A power generating element is accommodated between the two terminal plates serving as external armature, and the peripheral edges of the terminal plates are sealed with a sealing material. At this time, more than half the length of the bosses is exposed without enclosure with an extrusion sealing material. When primary and secondary batteries using Li as neg. pole active substance are made in this constitution, a flat type battery extra thin and excellent in long-term reliability is obtained. |
