PURPOSE:To prevent deflection of a saw blade and to provide a cutting end surface extending at right angle with an axis, by a method wherein a spacer is moved in a guide opening formed in a saw blade, and performs circular movement in the groove of a guide ring mounted on the outer periphery of a pipe, and the saw blade is always brought into slide contact with the spacer. CONSTITUTION:Guide rings 51A and 51B have the one end rotatably coupled by means of a pivot and the other end secured by means of bolts 55A and 55B, and are mounted on the outer periphery of a pipe P. Flanges 59A and 59B are formed to the guide ring 51A and 51B, respectively, and annular guide grooves 52A and 52B are formed in the respective flanges. Spacers 61A and 61B each having a projected part engaged with the guide groove are disposed between the saw blade 11 and the flanges. The saw blade 11 is nipped between the spacers 61A and 61B, and a position in the axial direction of a pipe is regulated. A through-hole is formed approximately in the center of each of the spacers 61A and 61B, a guide opening, extending in the longitudinal direction of the saw blade 11 and having a width large enough to allow loose engagement of a pin 75, is formed, and the pin 75 is inserted therein. |
