PURPOSE:To contrive reductions in cost and size, by a method wherein a magnetic latent image is formed on a magnetic material on a drum or a sheet, and then a toner is adhered to the surface of a paper by magnetic energy leaking upward from the surface of the paper. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording medium 1 is adhered onto a drum 8 to produce a magnetic drum, on which a desired magnetic latent image is formed by a recording mechanism part 2. The drum 8 with the latent image formed thereon is rotated, is moved, is brought into contact with a paper 3 fed through a combined paper-supplying and pressing roller 4, and is further moved. When the medium 1 and the paper 3 in contact with each other are fed to a developer 5, a toner is selectively adhered to the paper 3 by a magnetic flux emanating from the magnetic latent image. As the drum is thereafter rotated and moved, the paper is gradually separated from the drum, and the toner 6 having been magnetically attracted to the paper is maintained by electrostatic energy generated between the toner and the paper. At this moment, transferring takes place, and the transferred image is fixed by a fixing roller 7, whereby a printing process is completed. |
