PURPOSE:To provide an abutment tooth harmless to a living body, having good bio-compatibility and withstanding long-term use, by constructing the abutment tooth from a screw post made of high strength ceramics and an abutment tooth part made of machinable ceramics or composite resin. CONSTITUTION:An eroded crown part is removed to expose the upper cross-section 18 of a dental root. After pulpectomy is performed, the root canal is formed. Next, an abutment tooth construction body prepared by bonding an abutment tooth part forming member 17' made of machinable ceramics to a screw post 16 made of high strength ceramics is implanted in the root canal of the dental root 11. After the screw post 16 is fixed to the dental root 11, the abutment tooth part forming member 17' is cut to form an abutment tooth part 17. Thereafter, a tooth crown 13 is prepared according to a usual method. Since the artificial tooth by this method is entirely formed from ceramics materials, said tooth generates no chemical change such as elution even when used in the oral cavity for a long period of time. Further, ceramics are hard to transfer heat and a feeling of physical disorder is not generated at all. |
