The measurement adaptor monitors the switching in rotating machines with commutators. The adaptor comprises at least one measuring circuit I, II each incorporating an input stage 9 suitable for compensating for the self capacitance of an input coaxial cable 8, an active high-pass filter stage 10 having a Butterworth response, and a detector stage 11 which is compensated so as to have a breakdown voltage much less than that of a conventional diode rectifier. This adaptor is particularly intended for adjusting the setting of the brushes in high performance rotating machines rated at less than 1 kW. It establishes a criterion for evaluating the quality of the switching in them. <IMAGE>
