PURPOSE:To decrease the number of execution microprogram steps by performing flag detection in each arithmetic block, and selecting respective flags with a control signal and setting it in PSW. CONSTITUTION:At least >=2 arithmetic blocks, e.g. 1 and 2 such as ALU and a barrel shifter are equipped with flag detecting circuits and flags 8 and 9 which are detected by arithmetic operation are selected by a selecting circuit 4 with the control signal C, so that a necessary flag is set in the PSW. Consequently, the flag can be set without requiring any extra step and the plural arithmetic blocks are put in simultaneous operation to perform the flag detection. |
