PURPOSE:To decrease the pressure drop in a capillary flow passage so that the flow of sample fluid can be stabilized by providing at least >=2 sheath liquid flow passages to both sides of a sample liquid flow passage. CONSTITUTION:The sheath fluid 4 such as physiological salt soln. is introduced through two inlet ports 3 into the flow passage 5 where the fluid is constricted in flow and is admitted in the form of a laminar state into the straight capillary flow passage 6. The sample fluid 9 is introduced through an inlet 8 into the, flow passage 10 where the fluid is constricted in the flow and is admitted into a confluent point 11 in the flow passage 5. Since the flow passage 5 is formed to partly remain in the parts above and below an aperture 12, the sample fluid 9 is enclosed by the sheath fluid 4 from a horizontal direction as well as from a vertical direction so that the particles, for example, the cells in the liquid suspension carried by the sample fluid 4 flow by each piece. The light ray from a light source is projected on the sample liquid 9 of the fine flow 14 from the lower side of the flow cell device, by which the particle analysis is executed. |
