PURPOSE:To obtain an uranyl-ion exchanged liquid-film type electrode characterized by excellent concentration response, reproducibility, accuracy and durability, by providing at least one kind of compound selected among LiCl, CsCl, MgCl2, LiNO3, KNO3 and the like together with uranyl ions as an inner liquid in contact with a sensitive film. CONSTITUTION:For an uranyl-ion exchanged liquid-film type electrode, a sensitive film, which is obtained by treating a film forming base material with the following three reagents, is used: an ion exchange body comprising one or two or more kinds of the uranyl-ion complexes or neutral ester phosphate or neutral ester phosphite; a diluent, whose compatibility with said ion exchange body is excellent; and a solvent having affinity with the film forming base material. As inner reference electrode, mercury mercurous sulfate electrode is used. As an inner liquid in contact with said sensitive film, at least one kind of compound, which is selected among LiCl, CsCl, MgCl2, LiNO3, KNO3 or Mg(NO3)2, is made to coexist together with the uranyl ions. Thus, the electrode characterized by excellent uranyl-ion selectivity, concentration response and the like and a long life is obtained. |
