PURPOSE:To very easily erase written characters or the like from a magnetic recording carrier by applying a DC magnetic field along the recording surface by a magnet. CONSTITUTION:When the DC magnetic field perpendicular to a magnetic paper is applied to write characters or the like, magnetic body scales 1 in microcapsules 4 are arranged perpendicularly to the paper surface. When a DC magnetic field H parallel with the magnetic paper is applied to this part, magnetic body scales 1 in microcapsules 4 are arranged in parallel with the paper surface. At this time, the color of color oil in capsules 4 is seen and written characters, or the like, are erased at the time of seeing the magnetic paper from the side of a PPC sheet 5 because the light made incident from the PPC sheet 5 is reflected by scales 1. A permanent magnet 11 is so placed that directions of N and S poles are parallel with the recording surface of a magnetic recording carrier 10. The erasing efficiency is improved when many magnets are arranged into a multimagnet zone. |
