<p>PURPOSE:To enable the efficient use of a typewriter, by a method wherein, in the system rise, an electronic typewriter is used in a normal manner, an input manner is selected between an input per character and a batch input per line by a CC/LL switch, and the input information is identified by a CRT. CONSTITUTION:When a text key 8 is pressed in the system rise, the signal transmits through an interface circuit 2. Thus, a CPU reads the program in a memory 4 and changes over a typewriter mode to a screen editor mode. Moreover, the sentence is displayed and edited to a CRT 6 by a CRTC 5. If the text key 8 is not pressed, the system operates with the typewriter mode because the signal for changing over the mode is not issued. In this case, a character input manner can be selected between an input per character and a batch input per line by a CC/LL SW 7. When the CC/LL SW 7 is turned either on the CC side or on the LL side, the CPU 3 judges whether a flag rises at a point 4a of the memory 4 by the signal transmitting through the interface circuit 2. Thereafter, the CPU 3 conducts either the input per character or the batch input per line while the CRTC 5 displays one line to the CRT 6.</p> |
