EXAMPLE:1,4-Bis[4-N,N-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)aminostyryl]benzene. USE:An organic photoconductive raw material for electrophotography and fluorescent whitening agent. PREPARATION:A phosphorus compound expressed by formula III [Y is triphenylphosphonium salt expressed by formula IV (Z ion is halogen ion) or dialkylphosphonate of -PO(OR)2 (R is lower alkyl)] is reacted with an aldehyde expressed by the formula A-CHO to provide the compound expressed by formula I.
