PURPOSE:To perform a clipping processing in a unit of bit with simple constitution, by providing a parameter register in which a mode representing the constitution of a memory device is set. CONSTITUTION:The calculation of an address is performed from a first parameter A stored in a parameter register group 2 by an address generating means 3, and an address signal is supplied to the memory device 5 and a clipping control means 4 (control means). To the clipping control means 4, a mode C stored in the parameter register group 2 is supplied, and prescribed arithmetic calculation is applied on a second parameter B stored in the parameter register group 2 corresponding to the constitution of the memory device which generates the address signal by supplying the mode C. Furthermore, the clipping control means 4 compares a computed result with the address signal supplied from an address generating means 3, and outputs a clipping signal which represents whether the address signal is in the inside or the outside of a designated area. In such way, it is possible to perform the clipping processing in the unit of bit with the simple constitution.
