PURPOSE:To restrain the abnormal noise and partial wear of a bellows by providing a bellows guide which is made of synthetic resin with a small coefficient of friction, and enabling the bellows to be expanded and/or contracted straightly and smoothly to the axial direction within a cylinder housing. CONSTITUTION:The capacity of air chambers 18 and 43 within cylinder housings 5 and 37 fluctuates depending on the amount of load, allowing bellows 15 and 38 to be axially expanded and/or contracted. As a result, the bellows 15 and 38 may be expanded and/or contracted straightly and smoothly to the axial direction within the cylinder housing 5 and 37, because bellows guides 45 and 46 coming closely to the inner surface of the cylindrical housings 5 and 37 with the minimum required amount of clearance are provided for the sides of the air chambers 18 and 43 at the tip end section and the mid-section in the axial direction. This constitution thereby prevents trouble such as the noise caused by the friction of the cylinder housings 5 and 37 and the partial wear due to local friction upon expanding and/or contracting of the bellows 15 and 18. |
