<p>PURPOSE:To record and reproduce of a marking signal without providing any exclusive track, by recording the marking signal at a position where no disturbance is given to a control signal, then separating and detecting both reproduced marking signal and control signal. CONSTITUTION:A control head 6 and a marking signal recording circuit are used to record a marking signal showing the position of a magnetic tape 1 on a control track 4. When the marking signal is detected, both control and marking signals are reproduced by a common control head. Then the reproduced control signal and the marking signal are separated and detected via a marking/control signal detecting circuit. Thus it is possible to record and reproduce a marking signal showing the tape position without using any exclusive track.</p> |
