This is a security element with a shutter the whole height of the door, mounted both on the door 1 and on the door frame 2; it does not necessarily require modification of the elements of the existing door and can be fitted without modification of the jamb strip. The shutter 4 pivots under the effect of a spring and of a tie rod 6 actuated by the original bolt or any other locking system. By means of the pivot 3, which also extends over the entire height of the door, it is integral with the latter and is housed in abutment in a corner formed by the reaction pieces 5 which are integral with the jamb strip 2. Any installation is placed on the inside face of the door and is inaccessible from outside, whether the door is armoured, isoplanar, or ordinary. No maintenance is necessary. The system is very simple, very reliable and leads to greater security. <IMAGE>
