The invention relates to a device which, by the emission of a disturbing or reflexogenic audible stimulus, makes it possible to interrupt the uncontrolled contraction of the masseters by the return to control by the cortex. The device consists of a sensor 1 of the sound emissions or vibrations generated by the grinding of the teeth, a passband filter 2, and a preamplification module 3 whose output is connected to a breaker of the linkage B.F 4 which is connected to an amplification module 5. The signal leaving the latter passes through an adjustment system, which may or may not be automatic, for adjusting the usable output level 6 before being transmitted to a multifunction electronic clock 7, which regulates a predetermined time of transmission of the stimulus at the same time that it disconnects the sensor system for a time duration markedly greater than the time of emission of the stimulus. A complementary system, composed of a switch situated at the output of the passband filter 9 and an adjustable frequency generator 8, makes it possible at will to obtain a stimulus of useful frequency, on the basis of the results of a prior sound-frequency measurement examination. <IMAGE>
