WATER-PROOF TUBULAR MEMBER FOR CABLE JOINT

PURPOSE:To facilitate water-proof treatment at cable joint, by applying a tube over a tubular body while folding back and placing a slippery member at the folded portion. CONSTITUTION:An elastic rubber tube 13 is secured to the outer circumference of a tubular body 12 with one or both ends thereof extending outward from the end of the tubular body 12. An auxiliary sleeve 14 for holding the tube 13 under enlarged state is arranged at the inside of a portion of the tube 13 extended outward from the end of the tubular body 12. Open end of the tube 13 is folded back on the auxiliary sleeve 14, and a slippery member is placed between the folded portion of the tube 13 and non-folded portion. Water-proof treatment is carried out by unfolding the tube 13 together with the auxiliary sleeve 14.
