PURPOSE:To obtain the reproduced image of an optimum image quality in accordance with a scanning speed by operating in such a way that the higher a main scanning speed is, the weaker an emphasizing degree becomes. CONSTITUTION:An image quality is improved more when an operation is executed while an emphasizing degree is weak than when an image signal is obtained with scanning at a prescribed speed, compared with the time when the operation is executed by applying an emphasizing degree as it is when an image signal is obtained with scanning at the prescribed speed, since a quantum noise is prominent when the image signal is obtained by scanning at a high speed. Accordingly, the operation to relatively emphasize the specific spatial frequency component of the image is executed with the weaker the emphasizing degree is, the higher the main scanning speed is. Thus, the reproduced image of the best image quality in accordance with the scanning speed can be obtained. |
