<p>A tennis serve training device has a height adjustable upright (10) that is secured to a tennis court post (12) by brackets (13). A target support arm (20) extends horizontally from the upright (10) to which it is secured by hinge means (14, 16, 18). The target support arm (20) carries a target (21) which when it moves in a horizontal plane and then returns to its original position. Beneath the device there is a foot-mat (5) to ensure correct location of a player's foot in relation to the end of the target which is used as a reference point for which the player will aim to place a tennis ball as part of practising a correct ball placement in preparation for a serve. The device may be adjusted vertically to obtain the correct height for the ball placement and the foot position altered to suit the player's height and competence.</p> |
