For a voltage-controlled oscillator, the frequency of which is determined by at least one electrically controllable capacitor, it is proposed, in order to avoid the phase discontinuities occurring during the retuning and extending the retuning time, to compensate for the power added or removed from the resonance circuit during the retuning by means of additional circuit measures.
