<p>PURPOSE:To enable the output of a document with clear separations, by allocating at least a portion of data in lines in a predetermined range on a page to the preceding page or the next page when a line free of character data is detected in the lines in the predetermined range of a one-page amount of input data. CONSTITUTION:A power supply for a typewriter is turned ON, and initial setting is conducted, in which key operations for setting a memory mode, inputting data into 8 text memory 51 or the like are performed. With a printing format setting key 11 operated, a printing format is set. Thereafter, a vertical justification key 12 is operated to start control. When a line feed code is detected in first and second hot zones and a line having a line feed code located at the head of thereof (a line containing no character data) is detected, a second feed quantity is set on the basis of a count on a line counter 59. The lines ranging from the first line to the relevant line on the page are allocated to the relevant page, and those lines following the relevant line which are originally expected to be printed on the relevant page are allocated to the next page.</p> |
