<p>On each part of each electrode-line (-column) of the screen facing an interval separating two electrodes-columns (-lines) is arranged an element (40, 50) preventing light arriving to the screen in the direction of the element from traversing the screen. The elements arranged on the electrodes-lines (32) or those arranged on the electrodes-columns (34) provide for the electric connection-free spacing of the screen plates and the location of zig-zag faults that the liquid crystal may have in or at the vicinity of the non-switchable zone of the screen. As to the treatment, the screen is appropriately heated and an electric alternating voltage is applied between the electrodes in order to locate the zig-zag faults of the liquid crystal at the vicinity of the spacing elements. In order to obtain them, a positive resin layer may be isolated, through the plate intended to carry these elements and previously provided with opaque layers on the portions corresponding to said elements.
