<p>A transmitting and reception antenna (1) having a polygonal or oval transmitting and reception element (5) comprises one or more, preferably two, other transmitting and reception elements (6) associated with, and of similar design to, the first element. All transmitting and reception elements (5, 6) of each antenna (1) are located at the same height and are distributed uniformly around its periphery. The antenna (1) thereby obtained is more compact than a dipole antenna and makes it possible to transmit and receive in all directions without the need for alignment.
