PURPOSE:To protect apexes of needles and to improve degree of position setting of the apexes of the needles, by fixing each metal pipe whose inner circumferen tial face is lapping-treated in each hole perforated in a mold, and placing a plate for protecting the apexes of the needles which is softer than the inserted needles on the outer face of the mold. CONSTITUTION:A partial mold 23 has a cylindrical shape, and nine metal pipes 27 perforate the partial mold 23 from its inner edge face 25 to its outer edge at fixed positions, and are fixed in the partial mold 23 by caulking. Inner faces of these metal pipes 27 are formed by using a stainless steel pipes whose outer diameters are a little larger than the outer diameters of the needles 13 to be used, and the surface treatments of the inner circumferential faces are done by means of lapping finishing. A plate for protecting the apexes of the needles made of a material softer than the needles 13 is placed between the outer edge face 26 of the partial mold 23 and the contacting face 28 of a backup block 24 backing up it. When these apexes of the needles are therein inserted, the inner circumferential faces of the metal pipes 27 are smooth by lapping treat ment and when the apexes of needles are brought into contacted with the plate 28 for protecting, the apexes of the needles are not crushed or bent. |
