<p>A molten metal feeder in accordance with the present invention is used for feeding molten metal by electromagnetic force to a casting machine by actuating an electromagnetic pump. An adaptor for securing the same level of molten metal as that of molten metal kept at a predetermined temperature is disposed inside a molten metal support furnace and this furnace is movable back and forth with respect to a molten metal receiving side. In this manner, it becomes possible to prevent the occurrence of a molten metal oxide film and to facilitate inspection and maintenance of a molten metal feed pipe. Furthermore, an orifice is disposed inside this pipe so that even a small amount of molten metal can be fed accurately.</p> |
