<p>A method and an apparatus for reconstituting a picture capable of reducing the amount of calculation of the m-th order inverse Fourier transform into half, performing the processing at high speeds, and reducing the memory capacity necessary for the calculation into half. The (M-1)-th order inverse Fourier transform at a point N(m-1) is executed (N/2)+1 times for the m-th order complex spectrum data of a number ((N/2)+1) x N(m-1), the intermediate complex data of the number ((N/2)+1) x N(m-1) are converted into intermediate complex data of a number Nm/2, and the primary inverse Fourier transform at a point N/2 is executed N(m-1) times in order to prepare real number picture data of a number Nm.</p> |
