Powder-metallurgical process for producing targets

摘要

When preparing high-purity, mechanically stable and dense targets containing rare earths and the transition metals iron, cobalt and nickel by powder metallurgy, high content and unfavourable distributions of brittle phases and significant contents of oxygen in the material are avoided by employing prealloys of rare earths and the transition metals instead of pure rare earths.
