PURPOSE:To increase oxygen absorption reaction and to obtain good cycle performance by making the thickness of a finished electrode equal to that of a core having three-dimensional structure. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of a finished electrode prepared by filling an active material 2 in a core 1 having three-dimensional structure is pressed or cut so as to have the similar thickness to the thickness of the core 1. By making the thickness of the finished electrode prepared by filling the active material 2 in the core 1 almost equal to that of the core, the core substrate is exposed on the surface of the electrode. The ionization reaction of oxygen is accelerated regardless of a nonsintered electrode, and oxygen gas absorption reaction is increased. Increase in internal pressure of a battery is retarded and good cycle performance is obtained. |
