The method for temperature control consists in that an object is alternately heated and cooled, independent of the difference between the desired and actual temperature. In this way, the shortest possible transient process to the desired temperature is achieved. This is especially important for applications in which the method is applied for recording series of measured values of temperature-dependent quantities. The arrangement demonstrates one technically simple possibility for carrying out the method for temperature control.
