Automatic welding appts. capable of arc sensing is equipped with a memory for storing parameters for arc sensing. The parameter in the memory may be rewritten by a manual input operation prior to starting welding operation, or by an on-line computer during welding operation, or by a welder operating programme at a predetermined instant.
