PURPOSE:To enhance fastness to light and heat and to prevent the coloration of a non-colored part to a cyan color upon lapse of time by incorporating a specified cyan coupler and a cyclic ether compd. which is hardly soluble in water into the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The cyan coupler expressed by the formula and the cyclic ether compd. which is hardly soluble in water are used for the silver halide photographic sensitive material. In the formula, Q1 denotes an atomic group which contains at least one nitrogen atom and is necessary for forming nitrogenous heterocycles of >=5-membered rings together with a carbon atom; Z1 denotes a hydrogen atom or the group which can be eliminated by the coupling reaction with the oxidant of a color developing agent; R1 denotes an acyl group or sulfonyl group; R2 denotes a hydrogen atom or an aliphat. group of 1-8C. A dimer or polymer coupler may be formed by substituents of R1, R2, Z1 or Q1 and a ring may be formed by R1 and R2. The fastness to light and heat is thus enhanced and the coloration of the uncolored part to the cyan color upon lapse of time is prevented. |
