PURPOSE:To decrease flow of heat flowing out from metallic plates through metallic spacers due to heat conduction and to facilitate assembly of the metallic plates, by providing, in a vacuum section, metallic plates for inhibiting loss of heat due to heat radiation from a sealed tube, and spacers formed of a part of these metallic plates and supporting the metallic plates. CONSTITUTION:A metal vapor laser apparatus comprises a pair of opposed electrodes 3, 4, a discharge section 5 located between the electrodes 3, 4 and filled with discharge gas, a sealed tube 7 enclosing the discharge section 5, an outer metallic tube 9 enclosing the sealed tube 7 and a vacuum section 11 defined by the sealed tube 7 and the outer metallic tube 9. In the vacuum section 11, there are provided metallic plates 12 for inhibiting loss of heat due to heat radiation from the sealed tube 7 and spacers 14 formed of a part of the metallic plates 12 and supporting the metallic plates 12. Said spacers 14 may be produced by cutting out a part of each metallic plate 12, and bending the cut pieces toward another metallic plate opposed thereto so as to form tooth-shaped projections, so that the metallic plate is supported by the spacers 14 thus produced. |
